- the partners have the intent to marry within 90 days of the partners arrival in the United States on a K-1 visa;
- the partners have met in person at least at once in the two year period preceding the application;
- foreign partner proves financial means of at least 100% of the federal poverty guidelines;
- The U.S. citizen partner has not been convicted of certain offenses against minor children;
- a U.S. citizen petitioner who has a criminal history of violence against persons fully discloses to the foreign partner in the petition the details of each incident, including providing court records for each charge and/or conviction;
- the foreign partner is admissible to the United States

- sworn statement of both partners detailing the relationship and stating their intent to marry within 90 days after the foreign born partner enters the United States on a K-1 visa;
- passport photos of both partners;

- birth certificate of foreign fiance;
